if you're using a stand alone player try hitting your AUDIO button to switch to an audio channel. Maybe the audio channel is DTS instead of the Dolby AC-3/6 audio stream. make sure that your player can play DTS. you shouldn't have a problem with audio channels.

Select just the 3/6 Dolby channels when you copy.

Thanks, it worked like a charm. I have copied 900 movies and this is the first DTS that I have come across.

seeeeeee it's never too late to learn something new! I'm over the 1500 mark now and I still find myself learning stuff that I thought I would never understand. I love Afterdawn!

oh, by the way, I love the DTS audio... it's better than the Dolby and I think it sounds more like the movie theatre when I play it on my surround! I'm glad that all my equipment plays DTS but I also make sure that I have the Dolby audio stream in there just in case I upgrade my equipment or lend out a disk to a friend or family...... so if their sets don't play DTS it will always revert back to the Dolby audio channel! No playback issues here!

I was surprised, I got no sound on either of my two computers but, after your last message I tried the DTS DVDs on my Panasonic DVD player recorder and the sound worked great. I always test them on the computer and if they look good I take them to the DVD player.
Thanks again for all of the good help.
