Iam not sure if they have a newsgroup - try searching. 'search providers name' newsgroup ISP in google.

I doubt it, sorry. Unless you want to pay for newsgroups. If you really use newsgroups you should subscribe to a pay one, if your ISP has one its just a little bonus. Use google to search.

They have my isp!. Newsgroups are great im about a four hours into just configuring it all and boy am I impressed. All type of apps and video files and pc game and audio files etc etc etc etc. This is truly is the mother of all everything on the internet. I started off on torrents ,then went to mIRC,then went to direct downloads and now I,m in newsgroups and once you figure out how to download the files without all the hassle you will fall in love with newsgroups. Fast downloads none other can compete.
SO far i found all sorts of files that I could not find by way of torrent or irc or direct download (rapidshare megashare etc). Forget about torrent and mIRC or direct download ,get a isp that supports newsgroups like yahoo and pick any file you want you will not regret it.
Btw this newsgroup guide is good. The stuff about nbz and various other things is well written.
Also when will there be mushrooms for these programs (supernzb etc etc) I been searching the net but find it hard to find a mushroom for these applications.

You need to have downloaded the .par2 files with the .rars. Then open any of the .par2 files in quick par. The easiest way is to edit the properties of a par2 file so that windows automatically opens them with quick par.

i have 3 rar file and 3 par2 file open up pa2 file and it says need 33 blocks and one missing file but i get this on all my download files . so i have installed smart par but i dont no what to do with the blocks or the missing file i need help . thanks

Use QuickPAR instead. Do what I said in my previous post, wait for QuickPAR to finish scanning the files, and you should get a screen saying something like this:
the "Repair not Needed" might say "Repair required" or "Need xx more Blocks" If "Repair Required, just click the repair button and wait. If "Need xx more Blocks" then you're downloaded files have too many blocks missing to repair. You either need to download more PARs or re-download some incomplete RARs and hope that they are complete.

depends. Using Newsgroups to talk or Upload/Download material which you own the copyright to is not illegal. Transfer of copyrighted material is illegal, just like P2P, torrents, IRC etc.

hi Guys,
first off the Newsgroups are awesome. Anyway I downloaded a large rar archive and of course it said some of the archive was corrupt. So I then ran quickpar following the instructions given - it did a repaair then checked the file again and now said no repair needed. However when I tried to extract it still fails? Anyone know why this may be the case?

Did you try bypassing the errors when raring? See if that works. If not maybe the file is nuked.
Also, FYI Newsleecher new 3.9 edition has integrated quickpar and rar--it's done automatically for you.

OK so I decided to go for this and I went to alt.binaries.games 360 or whatever it is, and the only 360 game I dodnt have there was quake 4.
Radian has one there so I went to news bin fopund it there then to the newzbin site and made the nzb. Thing is, its telling me that there is 1 par incomplete and 1 rar incomplete. is it stioll going to work if I download it? Because I am 30% thru now...

There are 10 pat2 files, and I am trying to use the quick par thing but have no idea. I tried just extracting the rar, and its telling me rar 5 is corrupy and rar 6 is missing...
WOW had a few incomplete files and that MISSING file, used quick par and it freaking fixed everything lol.
AMAZING. Bye bye torrents. BTW, BT, My isp is the server I am using and its all free too :) woo hoo!

I need help, the only thing that extyracts is a 360 file. I have burned over 60 360 games, but they have always come with a dvd file.
So I made one in notepad withthe layer break then the name of the iso which was r-q4 (quake4) then saved it as quake4.dvd - is this right? I haven't bothered burning it yet because I dont wanna waste a disk.
Please help, thanks.
Oh and do all the games come down without dvd files?
