tailschao, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP.
4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.

I've been using torrents for over a year now and just started with newsgroups I don't know if it's just I don't know my way around but I can't find anything decent I use giganews
I'm on sct, ftn, AN for audio softwares and other private sites and it beats any newsgroups at least torrents sites are clean and easy to navigate most of the stuff on newsgroups is old stuff that you can find on limewire and too much spam
I'm still new with newsgroups but that's my first impression

If you just wanna leech, you don't need to manually view the groups. You can just use http://v3.newzbin.com and download from the .nzb's

Well my problem is I can't find any decent groups I'm looking for video and audio editing softwares or anything related to that and all I can find is very old stuff that's been on any public torrents sites for ever

Newsgroup newbie - help needed!!
Hi Im new to newsgroups, just found this tut today in fact. Im on NTLWorld and Ive followed the instructions and managed to download some music files. First impressions from this were brilliant - super fast speeds! Now Ive tried downloading an XBox 360 game and im getting 0 kb/s download speeds and all the rar files are failing to download. Ive tried downloading a few different games to see if it was just a problem with that specific one but none them work. Went back to downloading a few more mp3s - downloaded ok - went back to trying 360 games and same problem. Any ideas what Im doing wrong? My hopes were so high after my initial success!!

first things first, u need to make sure the 360 files arent 3 days+ old otherwise you'll either get failed files or slow d/l speeds. Second thing, make sure you have the newsgroup your downloading from. Newsgroups are simple after you have experience.

Having some issues with comcast. Before I got SSL service my download speed would hit 3500kbs for the first 10 sec then flattens out at 770 kbs. Giganews said it was probably my ISP. Now with SSL it goes up to 1400 kbs then back down to 700, then up and down. wtf is going on
Is it safe to use software with keygens that uses online registering? I haven't done it cause I don't understand my security/safety options. Any links to guides on this or downloading anonymously would be great.

Yesh this was helpful - I have been grabbing rar files individually this whole time - the nzb thing is much easier. I guess I should have bothered to read a tut then to try and click my way through the program solo!

when i download newsgroups i find it's up and down on the speed one second it's 42 then 300 then no speed at all and this is like all the time i have port forward but still no good I'm with newsthunder orange sever with a 6mg download and i use newsrover . thanks

Hi.
Ive managed to download far cry on wii. Some files are missing,and i cant seem to find where i downloaded them on the groups. Im using giganews and newsbin as a newsreader.
1. will i have to pay for newsreader once my trial has ran out. Is there a free good newsreader to use?
2. how can i get the farcry files which were incomplete?

Im just started to get into these newsgroup things. Ive found them to be exellent and far better than bit torrents. I find bit torrents to be a lot better and easier for searching for music. But for games this is the best. Giganews is just over £10 a month. It is worth every penny.
Im getting my 360 flashed on sunday. Hopefully all these game downloads will work.

alright you guys... now i am all confused!! does this mean that, if my isp is not providing us customers with a free newsgroup, that i cannot download stuff for freee?! ( in reference to the main tutorial ), because from what i understand, i cannot use the free softwares to download stuff off newsgroups if my isp provider doesnt have its own newsgroup server. i was hoping i could use the free softwares u mentioned to download whatever i wanted off ...... blah.. never mind.. this is getting too confusingg. honestly, i havent come across one single newsgroup tutorial that really helps the dummies out!
