I keep trying to burn a dvd and with no luck, keep getting same error message,
Nero 7 Ultra Edition Unspecified recorder error then
further down it shows
could not perform end of disc-at-once
i tried finding where to tturn off disc-at-once but the only place i found it was in Nero express and i turnded it off but when i am ready to burn in Nero burning rom it still shows it as the write method and is grayed out so i cant change it
Please any help greatly appreciated

InCD can interfere with the burning process. Unless there is a compelling need for it, it's best to uninstall it with the InCD Clean Tool.

The media doesn't seem to be identified which usually indicates a problem. What kind of media are you using (brand). Good media is Verbatim, Made in Japan labeled Fuji and Sony, and Taiyo Yuden.

Just output an ISO image file or a folder of DVD video (VOB) files from whatever authoring program and then burn with ImgBurn.

You wanr Disk At Once (DAO) mode. The error message is just indicating the burn failed. The burn failed because the burner couldn't ID the media for any number of possible reasons.

Media is memorex 16x (yeah i know memorex sucks) but in this instance it doesnt appear to be the media because it never gets past writing the lead in (5%)
I upgraded firmware as suggested and installed the 7.0.8.2 version of Nero and cleaned incd
now im getting a little different mess, maybe its because its a different version of Nero (post Below)
i have a dvd i created of a bunch of clips and encoded and am now stuck with a video_ts folder that i cant figure out how to burn w\o burning rom

Let's try using ImgBurn. That way if it doesn't work, something would seem to be wrong w/r to the media or burner or both.
Download and install ImgBurn.

Here's a guide for creating the ISO image file with ImgBurn that can then be used by ImgBurn to burn the blank DVD.

Imgburn burns the same way as DVD Decrypter, so if you've used that program, burning with ImgBurn will seem familiar.
There are other ways of creating the ISO file from the VIDEO_TS folder, but the above is as easy and quick as any others.

ok i re flashed my dvdrw back to r108 instead of r111 because r111 shows to be DUW1608ARR INSTEAD OF DUW1608/12X may not be a difference im not sure but just trying to troubleshoot here
installed imgburn and created iso from VOB files then attempted to burn and am getting the same thing, it wont write th lead in and gives me the mess below!
could this be being caused by the media alone?
very frustrating

Well, it's branded Memorex but was made by Ricoh. Ricoh isn't the best by a sretch, but it's not the worst.
As a general rule, firmware won't flash to a drive for which it isn't intended or compatible. I'm not sure what the diff is between the 12X tag and the ARR tag w/r to the firmware. The latter firmware seems to track exactly for both models, so I presume they are the same drives underneath.
Yes it could very well be the media causing the biggest problem. The burner is old in tech years and I don't know how up to date the firmware is. I'm guessing there is little guidance for 16X firmware since the burner maxes out at 12X. Try some older 8X media and see if that works. Burn at 4X.

I'm not sure what program you used to create the original files. If there was something wrong with the VIDEO_TS compilation, ImgBurn should have flagged it and refused to create the ISO. The process is aborting at the very beginning. Perhaps you can start the project from scratch again. What is the source of the original files? If you have a software DVD player like PowerDVD or others, see if it'll play the VIDEO_TS folder.
