sorry this is a n00b question.
does devhook emulate the whole firmware so you can actuall use the features like internet explorer in it, or does it only emulate the version so it lets you play games that need higher firmware?

isnt there any apps so you can use stuff like msn messnger and stuff like that?

There will be but im not that interested in doing that i just use my pc for stuff like that,so hopefully someone that has used something like what you said can help you out.

I have two psp's. One is version 2.71 and da other is 1.52. If i want to downgrade should I for the 1st 1 do 2.71->1.5->2.0->1.5, and for the other psp, 1.52->2.0->1.5->2.0->1.5. Or do i skip the ending step(1.5->2.0->1.5)? Thx Bro

well its upto you really some people say upgrade to 2 then back to 1.5 for a clean install but its really upto you

But before u downgrader, make sure ur not using a TA-082 MOBO but anyway if u upgrade to 2.00, no probs, just upgrade again to 2.71 and download the new eloader and Hombrew enabler. LOL happy gaming !

Thanks for responding, but I am still not clear on what a fastloader is, and to make it worse what does, "Dumping UMD's" mean and why would I have to downgrade my PSP? Sorry.

Hey wuts wrong with my psp if when i turn it on i can see the backlight is on and i can adjust it with the button but the system will not boot up?i know its not bricked,is there anyway of fixing this?

could be because the lcd went out or the lcd ribbon came out. have u ever taken the LCD out.

no, i never touch the lcd.the last thing i was doing playing a game and then i gave it a hard reset in the middle of the game.after that it want boot up anymore.
P.S.the game was a iso played with devhook!maybe that have something to do with it

I have weird problem. Almost every game i try to start says "game cannot be started" and after that there are number series. What's the problem? I have 0.44 devhook and some games work just fine. So i think there's nothing wrong with my psp or so.

i and many others would recommend to update your devhook to .46 coz everytime they update they fix bugs and problems like you are experiencing...but if you still get it after that you will have to look into other things.

IM1 i got psp windows xp in my tut under my sig if u want u can check it out.. and then once u can use internet u can go to emessenger.net and use msn.. plus theres this new thing called jabbers or something gonna put a guide up for it asap

alright i have a 1.5 psp (virgin) i installed the devhook .46 and i can boot it and acces the launcher menu, i load any iso and boots back into 2.71, all is good up untill here, it says for me to load in a UMD disc for the iso to pop up, i put sin city iso in and it says, this disc is not the correct region, but the movie plays fine in my default 1.5. do i need to use a game umd? what gives? =) thanks for any replies

to everyone that has tried to help thanks and for the ones that are tired of me asking the same thing to you Im sorry. Ok I downgraded to a 1.5 formated my memory stick and then downloaded the devhook .46 but I cant play games. I dont know if I need to upgrade to the 2.0 then downgrade again. I have games in the iso folder to I need help because something is wrong.

I'd like to know if anyone here have a working version of wwe smackdown vs raw 2006. All my games works just fine exept this. And this is the game i'd like to play teh most :(. So after intro and "press start" i can't do a thing .. Screen stays like it is and all goes like stone. Any advices? =|
