Copying DVD-R TO DVD+R

I have a Sansui DVD recorder and it only record on DVD-R.
My son's DVD player only reads DVD+R.
I have been trying to copy from DVD-R to DVD+R and I get an error message when I try to play it, error C-104.

It shows it sucessfully copying, but will not read it on a DVD+R.

I used Roxio Disc copier.

What am i doing wrong. Last year, it copied fine. Any ideas or suggestions.

I'm assuming you are using your computer to try and burn your DVD-R onto a DVD+R. Make sure your burner is a dual format burner and use DVD Decrypter in ISO read mode to rip your DVD-R to your HDD and then put in your DVD+R and burn in ISO write mode.

The problem actually turned out to be more simple. The Ritek DVD-R was causing the problem. I switched to a TDK and it worked fine.
But, I appreciate someone responding. Iwas beginning to wonder if anybody read it.

You'd be suprised how many people read these posts...BTW, TDK are terrible discs, I would suggest Verbatim.

The TDY was an old DVD-R disc, which I rarely use. I use mostly Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim +R disc to copy at my computer.

I copied a football game to my DVD recorder from my DVR,and the Sansui "only" uses the DVD-R format.
But, I will definitely buy a better brand of DVD-R disc.
