megabyte2, i would guess you have other problems with your PC its not slysoft.

ok to fix your problem do this

1. use a better virse scan program other than mccaffee . the Trend Mirco purducts are one of the best out there along with NOD32

2. Spysweeper, can reset set your web brower back so download and use it.

3. run "SmithfraudFix" and post a log file if you are infected run it in safemode and clean

also while your in safemod run "Spysweepeer" and your virse scan program

Slysoft isn't your problem !!

Here is what my computer supports (media). I have an email into the software company that supports AnyDVD and clonedvd2.

The problem i was having was that my CLONEdvd2 would ONLY copy onto DVD+RW. Gets expensive.

any suggestions,, greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to update the firmware? That drive should work fine. I have an old 2510 that is a workhorse. I don't use it much anymore since I have upgraded, but it still burns pretty dang good. If you do end up replacing it, I would get a Lite-on or one of the others already suggested.

Shovels Rule!

NEC's are solid drives, but it appears that there are no firmware updates available for that drive.

At least at my sources...

Is there anything wrong with using Shrink first (AnyDVD running in backround) then burning with Decrypter? I see were Decrypter is used first then put into Shrink.Just curious as to what might be the differences or problems incurred,if any.

AnyDVD>Shrink>Burn with Decrypter good process, especially if you don't have Nero. You might want to get ImgBurn and burn with it from shrink. It's not automatic like Decypter with out some trickery of exe. files, but an upgrade from the old Decypter by Lightning UK.

I have been using anydvd/shrink then Nero for a long time now. I have never had an issue. I get the dvd as soon as it comes out and can rip and burn same night. I highly recommend AnyDVD.

I have tried dvdfab and DVD Decrypter and anydvd/shrink is easier by far. It should be noted that I strip everything but the movie itself and only burn that. No compression needed in most cases.

@kaxmir

My reply was directed to DADEO1, Asking if Any-Shrink-Decrypt was a good way to burn DVD.

Sorry you haven't sorted your problem out.

narcismo,

Did you select CCE basic as the encoder prior to starting RB? Are your paths right in general set up? They should look similiar to this.

Get AnyDVD free trial 21 days here : slysoft.com

One time purchase, upgrades weekly for life! If you buy, type in "afterdawn", without quotes, in coupon area and if rebate is on, -$5, sometimes "cdfreaks" also works.

Make sure that you purchase only through Slysoft...stay away from ebay, you will get a pirated copy that will stop working in time.

@narcismo

I don't use either Basic or Trial, but to change how many PASSES you want with CCE SP 2.70, from DVD-RB Pro click on "Settings, CCE Settings, Advanced (Expert) Settings," then slide the VBR Passes to how many Passes you want, then simply click "Save Settings" and just Exit out.

Nearly 90% of all my backups, I only use 2 PASSES, but for big/long movies like "Scarface, Heat, King Kong, LOTR, etc." I'll use 3 PASSES. However, I wouldn't go more than 3 PASSES though.

Good luck.
