kasmir: Buy directly from slysoft.com. You pay a one time fee and they notify you automatically when they update. With AnyDVD they can update as much as twice in one week. BE SURE to save your key as they will not let you download again without the keys should you lose the programs for some reason.

Clone and ANY-DVD work great and update frequently. But their viruses are old and out-dated. I've noticed SLYSOFT does'nt have an option to download better/more up-to-date viruses. If i was a terrorist, i would'nt hang out with them, they suck as terrorists.

Okay, you folks on here (afterdawn) had me convinced into getting Any DVD to Back Up all of my movies with. I downloaded the trial version (LOVED IT, bough it!!!) and as soon as it expired, I bought a key from them (thanks to the helpfull discount one of you guys helped me with) but I have a problem. I click on the key and it says the whole "C:/Program Files/SlySoft/AnyDVD is now regitered. PLease restart AnyDVD..." thing....which appears good. But I restart AnyDVD and it still says that my trial period has expired. I have tried to unistall AnyDVD, re-install it...and then use the key I downloaded from them, but it still does this. What am I doing wrong?!?!?!?!

You didn't download a key from slysoft. They mail you the key in an email. Did you buy legit key? If so contact slysoft and ask for help!If not you're out the money.

Uninstall the program, and if it asks you if you want to keep the reg info say no. After you uninstall run a reg cleaner, ccleaner is free and does a fair job.

Then reinstall the program and after click on you key file to register, remember to save your key, preferable on a disk or flashdrive, because you cannot get another if you lose it.

Pete gave you perfect advice the only thing different i would do after you uninstall and run CCleaner is reboot your machine then reinstall anydvd

yeah, that was what I meant. I contacted slysoft and got it all straightened out. They think that I must have been sent an unactive key, so they just sent me a new one. I tried all of the stuff you guys had been telling me (from this thread and another) and nothing worked....so I just finally contacted the, through thee site...it took a couple of days...but we got it all worked out.

looks like some of these newer releases are getting pretty tough for even AnyDVD SAWIII , Open Season etc. i am surprised AnyDVD hasn't update this week for these titles there is a beta verison however

The AnyDVD 6112 beta doesn't solve the problems with Saw 3 either. Hell 6017 with clonedvd(just movie) worked. Ripper still hangs on 07_VOB but it will let Recode rip and encode the movie but burn fails because the 07_VOB is somewhere removed in the process. AnyDVD will fix it soon. But ripit4me looking better and better. Did anyone get DVDFab to work, looks like they're on vacation?

garmoon , i am pretty sure a few people had success with the new beta verison of AnyDVD backing up the complete disc of SawIII. i didn't try it. and noone i read from was able to use DVD Fab

I haven't tried 6112 it with CloneDVD yet for the whole disc. 6017 dit just movie on Tuesday. 6112 It won't work with Recode,AnyDVD's built in ripper won't rip it, it hangs on 07-VOB. You would think by now Slysoft would have a workable fix.

I bought Saw 3 the day it came out. tried any-dvd w/clone. no luck.
i dont understand why....but when i tried it w/any-dvd and 1-click it backed up ok(main movie only w/the menus removed)
anyway...i did send a bug report to Elby.Any-dvd seems to be doing it's job. Did you report it too?
i used ver. 6.1.0.7. not the beta ver

Funny how an old (and i mean OLD ver) of 1-click would back up SAW 3, yet CLONE would'nt.
seems to me that the "powers that be" are focusing their energy on the big dogg on the block(clone /any-dvd).
i noticed that i would only recieve a structure/mastering error when trying to remove only certain portions of the movie(trying to reduce the compression)using clone. which you are not able to do with 1-click(at least my ancient version).
my error came at VOB 3 not VOB 7. not sure if thats relevant or not.
but as i metioned earlier...i did report the bug. i suggest you do the same. lets help any way we can.
