is it possible? my umd drive aint workin n its upsettin me so much. i dont kno whether to bring it in to a store n try n get it repaired, but till then is there a way (topic)?

Ain't gonna happen. Even on 1.50 games, you still needed a UMD in the drive to get it going. NO UMD only means you can take the UMD out of the drive once the game gets going. That always pissed me off. It's misleading is what it is.

is there anyway to fix my umd drive at all? i really dont wanna have to take it to a store to fix it if its somethin i can easily do? where can i get the part to fix it if its ez to do and how much would it cost?

there is game loader that allows you to load isos without the umd. but im almost positive it only works on 1.5 requiring games. devhook .22 will allow it.

Have you gotten it to work? b/c I've tried DevHook v0.22. It doesn't work. If you got it to work, hex, that's cool. But if it's just something you read somewhere, that NO UMD works, trust me. It doesn't work. And if you HAVE figured it out, you ought to write a tutorial for everyone.

I have gotten it to work but it was ONLY with 1.5 games. I dont think there is any need to write a tutorial. But im going to go back and double check just to make sure it still works like it used to. If someone requests a tutorial i will write a special tutorial just for them. It wont be posted in the forums.

EDIT:
IT DOES WORK. I just confirmed this right now. Are you sure you tried it. It needs to be a 1.5 game also.

MINI TUTORIAL
Start Devhook .22
Select your 1.5 iso
Under Boot select you can use UMD GAME or Hook Boot
Load your iso with no UMD IN.
The ISO I used was dead to rights.

Go ahead and try it guys :) !
