I recently purchased a PSP (the bar code has PSP1001 on it). It has firmware version 2.60. Is it possible to downgrade it to fw 1.50 without having Liberty City Stories?

Yes you can,but the bar code doesn't matter,what matters is your motherboard,check this to be sure:

To downgrade without gta you need to upgrade to 2.71 first.

Yeah GTA will defo, but i dont think BOOSTER is very far from creating devhook 0.47 with 2.80 firmware emulation!
(noting has been confirmed about this its just what i think! lol

so how do I update it to 2.71 and avoid 2.80?

(Forgive me, I just got my PSP the other day used and it had no instructions or anything)
