Sound Sync Issues- AVI to DVD using Nero 7

I have been trying to make a DVD out of some AVI (DivX-XviD) videos I downloaded off of Torrents, using Nero 7 Vision. When I burn it, it works fine in my DVD player apart from the fact that the sound goes out of sync. It starts off playing fine, but the sound gradually gets more and more out of tune with the picture as the video goes on.Does any one know a way around this?

Open Nero StartSmart, go to Info Tools and locate version number

Nero Burning ROM is 7,0,0,0 and Vision is 4,0,0,1. If I download the version you told me to get, will my current serial no. work?

That particular version was "buggy", uninstall, run the clean tool and install version recommended....your serial number should be accepted.

If you have purchased Nero7 and have a serial number then you should be able to use it for that version

hi Gwendoline.
Just to let you know, i have been tearing my hair out for two days with Nero 7 beacuse of audio syncing. I tried your fix and then got a perfect disc straight after. Thanks very much!

I ended up getting the serial to work. I havent tried making the DVD you. I'll let you know how I go.

I tried making a DVD toaday, and the audio was no better than before. Is there any thing else I can try?

I just started to burn DVD's and this is a great forum to start with when learning. I wanted to share something. I was having the same sound sync problem with Nero. I noticed that if I previewed in Nero Showtime the sound would not be synced there as well. So I viewed the file in Windows Media Player and the video/sound was fine. So I converted from WinAvi instead and then burned but did not convert in Nero 7 and that seems to solve the problem.
