Is it copy-infringement to download BASIC Cable shows, like nbc, abc etc? Cuz I understand download HBO shows is illegal cuz u have to pay to get the channel.

Any TV show other than (most) newscasts will have some kind of copyright on them, so downloading them is illegal.
