When I attempt to install updates I get the error message "You need to be logged in as Administrator to install AnyDVD!"
I am the only user so I am logged in as Administrator.
Version 6050 is the only one since 6011(the original) that would install.
Slysoft Tech Support could not or did not solve the problem for me.

check under user profiles to make sure u r the admin. the only time ive had this problem is when someone deleted all the user accounts. i couldnt ever get it to work right after that. until i reformatted it, and did a clean install.

Yeah, I do a clean install every time I update this software. I always get problems when trying to install over an older version.

A CLEAN INSTALL IS A GOOD IDEA, BUT I ALWAYS SAY "YES" TO KEEP THE REGISTRATION.

Yikes, a clean install after 3 updates. It would take me 3 days to put everything back in. I've been updating for almost 2 years, one on top of the other, never had a problem.
I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.

bigwop,
A clean install of AnyDVD, not your system. Takes a few mere minutes.

I didn't mean format and complete install of drive. As Mackdl said, clean install of AnyDVD only. Nest time, I'll be more specific.

My problem was that the computer was not recognizing my Administrator
rights. I haven't solved that problem completely but my Administrative rights are recognized when I start up in Safe Mode while I am in Safe Mode. So I install the AnyDVD updates in Safe Mode.
Administrative rights disappear again in Normal mode if anyone can solve that problem.

Hookem59,are you talking about Windows XP? If so, did you go into Control Panel and User Accouts to set rights?
