You'll get banned off of any tracker if your ratio suddenly goes up 100gb overnnight, Azureus mod or whatever. Believe me, right now, I could go to any tracker and have 500 terabytes of upload credit in 10 mins, probably more like 2 minutes, but yes, I would get banned fast.
Not at TL, lmao... ;)

I do not have a firewall. I have had windows firewall off since the day I rebooted, and I absolutely despise anti virus software that runs all of the time, and I have my router's SPI firewall disabled.

I have run my computer this way for four years and I haven't been infected once. I will continue to take my chances, I suppose.

I run AV somewhere around once a week. I just don't keep one "protecting" my system.

One more thing. Every computer on my network cannot upload. I have two computers at my desk. One of them used to be on a different network in a different house, and it worked just fine with the exact same settings.

ok, so either your ISP or your router is capping uploads.

Test: skip the router, plug right into the modem and retry. If it works, it's the router. If it don't, it's your ISP. Then your hope is to enable torrent header encryption and/or try a different port.

You can always call them and lie, say you need to use VPN or VNC to connect to your home comp from work and can they tell you which port to use. :)

Hey, I missed it!

Grrr @ the time difference between the Uk and the rest of the world!

First, I think this is one hell-'uva thread, mainly because we seem to have eliminated the "Use uT fix", for reasons that were discussed in the posts above, I must comment on this post here by TomMelee:

Great info and well said buddy :-)

I know whenever I see someone post that "fix" again, they'll get a link to this thread right in there faces! hehehe

There is one downside however, it seems Stang had a bad day, we all have them, happends to the best of us, though vacations have there up points, it's forum life, get's to yer... :-p

Rgr that. In other news, for those who didn't know I was unemployed *lol*, I've got a new job--and it's AWESOME. Can't tell ya who it's with, but let's just say it's helping people. After a 12 hour day today I can't WAIT to get back on site tomorrow.

There, i've officially derailed this thread. I deserve it though, I think....

OUCH I just hurt my shoulder patting myself on the back.
