You go can 2 routes or more. I'm familiar with RipIt4Me and the AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 tactics.
RipIt4Me is freeware and a great thread on it is here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110

AnyDVD and CloneDVD cost at www.slysoft.com. It's good software, but if you don't mind the few extra steps, RipIt4Me is a solid bet.

You can also buy just AnyDVD and download DVD Shrink. You run AnyDVD in the background while you run Shrink and it bypasses the encryption on all discs so far. With the money you spend, you get free lifetime updates. Shrink can be found at his page: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_.../dvd_shrink.cfm That combo works pretty good as well.

but sometimes DVD Shrink still wont transcode the newer movies even with AnyDVD behind it so CloneDVD 2 + AnyDVD is your best and easiest route. "RipIt4Me" for freeware works great but theres alot of files to delete from your HD afterwards if you dont mind doing that

if you have AnyDVD there is no movie that can't be done using free programs to do the rest. I have been using AnyDVD with dvdfab decrypter and 1click copy, and have never been stumped.

well im just saying if you buy the dvd why would you need to back it up but most people probaly rent the dvds and back them up and burn them o a blank dvd , which is not black no more ! (gosh!) and erm i guess that is classed as piracy.

but dont mind me continue on with this thread as if my thread was never processed by the afterdawn servers :D

@res2cue you didnt know you can do that wow you have lots to learn then i guess :P

yeah the dvds you rent dont have any extra protection so you can just get them put them in your computer and make a clone of them without them knowing its amaysing i myself dont do it though because its norty and fact will fine me 250,000 pounds and i havent got that money to wayste.

but I myself think dvds are to expencive why pay 15 pounds for a film that you will watch maby 3 times ? theres no point your best off renting dvds and games and your best off or just waiting for them to come on sky + or freeview or even ch 1,2,3,4 and letts not forget 5 :0 :P

i hope i taught a few of you a lesson and if this thread is against the forum rules atall someone tell me and i will edit it.

- by the way you dont want to break the forum rules there there for a reason but as someone earlier said talkign about piracy is alright i persume my post is ok :D
