Sum files i have compressed from 1 gig to 300 but some i have compressed 1.4gigs to like 1.3 gig,i was wondering y the second one won waasnt compressed as the first one?

it mainly compresses the dummy data inside of an iso. say if you were to take an 800 gig file with 600 MB of dummy data it would be 200 mb when compressed. if you were take the same file with no dummy data in it and compress it...it might only compress to like 195MB. theres other things it compresses inside of an iso but the main thing is the dummy data.

ohh ic,thx for the explaination,i always thought that the dummy file fills the umd to 1.8gigs... damn this sucks i thought gmes would be around 200-400mb for sum time but more and more games are going over 1 gig,now cant fit alot of music on my 2 gig lol

dummy data is used to fill up empty space but its not always to fill it to 1.8 gigs. take the game cars for instance it is 800 mb. take the dummy data out and its 200MB. Tekken D.R. is 1.3 Gigs and take out the dummy data and its 1.1 Gigs.
