How do you insert a screen captured image into a forum thread? Does it matter what file format the image is?

This instruction for using UBB codes when starting a thread seems to indicate linking to a web site:


-- This will show a picture.

How do you insert an image from your PC? Or is this not allowed?

If you check out the instructions at the top of the Message box you will see how it's done

[img] then the url followed by [*/img] (without the *)

I don't understand the instruction. Are you limited to an Internet URL between the [img] and [/img]? Or can you somehow link to a file on your PC?
