1.5 you can play homebrew and ISO's
2.0 can be downgraded to 1.5 without GTA
2.5/2.6 can be downgraded to 1.5 with GTA
2.71 can be downgraded to 1.5 without GTA

Whatever version you get, just upgrade to the appropriate firmware and downgrade it :)

An upgrade or downgrade takes about 3-5 mins
Don't get a TA-082 Motherboard. Check here if you have one when you get your PSP http://psp.about.com/od/homebrew/ig/TA-0...-code-photo.htm

If you get the Value Pack, you will get a 32mb stick. You can just you this. I recommend get a larger stick if you want to play ISO's or homebrew.
You can determine waht firware you are getting by looking at the box codes http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-general-ps...2006-28718.html

I hope i have been a help to you

theres nothing that can be done with dead pixels. dead pixels are dead, hence the name. you can try a stuck pixel fixer to see if it's stuck.

Did I get a good deal?

Should I bring my psp back to the store for one dead pixel at the corner?

@ leptons

If you got a psp with firmware version 1.5 on it stock you've hit the jackpot. People risk bricking (a.k.a ruining) there psps to get what you have. For your stuck pixel there are numerous utilities to fix a stuck/dead pixel. They may or may not work. But if it is really bugging the heck out of you, you can be a new screen for $30 some bucks and replace it yourself.
