Hi i have a Pioneer dvd rw dvr110 and it is very good. I bought it for about £25 about a year ago. I would like to buy anouther dvd rw and might go for the same one but could anyone suggest any better hardware? I would like to spend no more than £20 inc del if poss but i still want the same quality that the pioneer gives me.

My favorite burner is now the BenQ 1655/1650. I've had several NECs and one Liteon in the past. The NECs have all been excellent, the Liteon, not so much. I'm just getting slightly better burns with the BenQ for the most part.

Another vote here for the BenQ 1655. Pioneers are good but I prefer the BenQ over my Pioneer AO8. Tried Lite-On but no luck there and support is terrible.

Sorry, can't help with places to buy in the UK. There are lots of UK members though and at least one of the moderators is from the UK iirc. Perhaps one of them will cruise this thread and be able to help you out.

Sorry, me neither. A BenQ 1655 OEM (Philips) will be cheaper and can be crossflashed to the latest BenQ firmware. Actually, that's what I did but it voids the warranty.
