Hi all,

First time poster here, although i have spent many hours trawling through some of your recent/old posts to help me to downgrade my PSP recently from 2.71 to 1.50. Also installing devhook and playing some ISOs.

My question is this, apologies if this has been asked - i don't think it has.

After downgrading using the downgrader. Are you safe enough to just format the memory stick or does it require files still to use?

I installed devhook onto it, but I was wondering if i should format my memory stick now and then re-install devhook. Just to free up some space. At the end of the day it is only taking up around 40MB. Maybe I ma being a bit stupid on this.

Any advice would be extremely appreciated.

I just found a thread about "fake" memory cards which is very interesting on this site too. I think I need to investigate mines as I just bought a 2GB one from ebay.co.uk and I got it for about 22GBP. That's another story.

Thanks.

CAUTION : I dont know about that memory card because it sounds cheap but do this at your own risk.

OK, what you have to do is connect your PSP to your computer and open the PSP memory stick folder. Cut and copy the PSP folder and any other root folder you have to the DEsktop. Now go to my computer and right clik the drive where the PSP mem stick is. Then click quick format. After that, re-install DevHook and you should have a whole lot more of space. But listen if you dont fell like formating, just delete all the files on your memory stick and re-install devhook.

If you have anymore questions , just ask. Im on this sight 24,7.

Thanks Vegeta999. I probably do that later, I was more concerned with all the test.txt files I think were created during the downgrade or when installing devhook. And also accidentally running the .tiff again. Has anyone ever done that?

Yeah, when I bought it most were going for £22 anyways. I just thought it was a natural depreciation, especially on ebay. It seems to work okay, I managed to put around 1.9GB of data (ISOs) onto it last night. Will have a good look later on tonight as well.

thanks.
