hi
im trying to install Nero 7 when i try to install it i get a message
in the middle of the procedure saying setupx.exe has created errors
and needs to close.youll need to restasrt the program.sometimes itll
install dispite this only the soundtrax has bugs.im using the install-
ation cd 4 Nero 7.my system is windows 2000.thanks

It sound's to me like you have a bad program there, and would recommend getting a new Nero package, normally when you install something if it is a full intact program, there should be no error's at all going through the set up procedure, but every now and then, companie's/people do send out bad software, it does happen, did you actually download a copy, or was this a copy that came with a piece of hardware that you bought for your sytem, maybe a new dvd writer, or something and the Nero burning software came with the package, if this is the case, then just contact the company, if it was downloaded from the internet, just get another copy??? legally of course??

just 4 the record i did try and download it from the Nero website
with out the cd and the still the same results a problem with the soundtrax.i tried to install that 5 times and still it was always the
nero7 soundblaster.thanks

Thank's for the info, it is sometime's very frustrating when these error's happen but i tend to look at them on a different angle, and think well, it is just another learning curve, and there will be lot's of people who are having the same/similar problem's to me?? :-D

Okay first of all i take it, you do have AV(antivirus) installed on your computer, and if so, you need to assess and change if necassery the setting's in the AV program, and also use google and get a copy of cccleaner on your computer, it is called crapcleaner, and it is very effective indeed.

thanks 4 the advice.im using AVG anti virus(its very gtood)zone arlem.
i had to turn uninstall AVG but unfortunrly didnt reinstall it.i did a
scan and got this new virus.ill get cccleaner to.

Okay

Listen very carefully, if you go to the microsoft website, and go to the help/support page, there will be lot's of information regarding all the latest virus's and they sometime's have downloadable content for you to use with your computer, if i remember correctly, you said you used Window's 2000, you can actually download removal tool's for almost all the virus's, go and check it out, and do not forget crapcleaner??

Let me know if you have any other problem's ps i shall try to help

also go to the site download.com, they sometime's have some good prog's and so opn :-D

since we spoke i get the ccleaner thingy used it it worked ok.i also
got adaware and it found a couple of nasty looking items.one of which
was a possible hacker.i used to have limewire its a program for people
to share music over the internet.i think these problems are because of it.i uninstalled it but i might be still an easy target for hackers
before i had limewire everything was good.can i do anything about lime
-wire at this point?thanks
