DVD X COPY XPRESS does not seem to work.

I recently sent this message to 321 Studio:

I have written on several occasions but have only received one reply which did absolutely nothing to resolve my problem. I am using the latest version of the software with the most recent fixes (6/12/03). The problem is this: the dvd reading goes to 100%, but I have yet to get 'step2' (writing out the cd) to work. It always stops around 10% - 20% with the message 'copying has completed successfully' when in actuality it indeed only copied 10 to 20% of the disk. The first (and only) response I got from technical support was to close all non-essential apps. This I did. I also turned off zonealarm. This has made no difference whatsoever. I also know several other people who have had a lot of problems with this software. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Thus far I have only been successful by using the free DVD Decrypter followed by Pinnacle Instant Copy. Thanks.

Try uninstalling and re-installing Xpress and make sure it's compatible with your OS (check in properties). Also try changing the disc brand. As an alternative you can also try DVD Shrink which will do basically the same thing as Xpress except you have to do the burn seperately (it's free by the way). Good luck.

Okay - I got this problem resolved. It seems I had a Nero Burning utility called InCD which had to be removed. Once I removed this software and rebooted, the disk copied just fine.
