use the install disc your new hardware came with. You also didn't specify what kind of Hardware to further assist.

There is no CD with the Hardware. This is how it works. I'm trying to install a DVR Card to my PC. The card goes into a PCI Slot. The installation instructions the DVR card comes with tells me to download the software and drivers for the site that is provided. Then once I download them, i have to unzip them and then after that, I turn off the PC and unplug it. Then insert the DVR Card into the PCI slot. Once I turn on the computer it suppose to detect the hardware automatically. It doesn't even detect that its there. The PCI slot is working. When I turn on the computer a red light blinks from that DVR Card. But, it doesn't get detected by the computer.

Okay, now that you installed the drivers you are now going to install the software.

First go into device manager and see if you see any exclamation marks to your TiVo card, if so then click on it and update the drivers, direct or browse for your folder where you have the drivers and it will update or install the new drivers. then install the software for TiVo.

I went into Device Manager. There is nothing at all with an exclamation mark.

Once I unzipped the files, I had to insert the DVR Card into the PCI SLot. Once it detects it, I select the folder in which I'll be installing the drivers. Once that is done then I can install the software. But, I can't do any of that because the DVR Card isn't detected.

The Scan doesn't do anything (doesn't detect anything.

Correct, I do not have the computer on. The computer is off and unplugged when I insert the card into the PCI Slot.

Uninsatll any drivers (if possible you might find) and the program itself first.

well we have tried it the easy way but to know avail, now lets try this the manual way. Select start/control panel/and off to your left hand side select Switch to Classic View in the control panel drop down (if you havn't done so already), now at the top select Add Hardware and run through the set up, once setup is complete restart and install your software.

Once again make sure you have the right drivers and software for your hardware.

I have done that. And still nothing. Is it possible that the company who built the computer put some block or something so I cant install anything else?
