I use dvd decrypter+Shrink+nero to complete my backup process and I have been successful so far in last 6 - 8 months. last week i had this problem with a brand new dvd. the decrypter could not finish pocess beyond 4%
1. where do i get the log files of this process.

I did some serach and then used pcgedit with some plugins. the process went on fineand it said - It did not have any protection files (but used some crack from time to time in the process). it said I did not need to use the Vob Blanker.

This still did not help and I could not open files in shrink. I then used IFO edit and did the process, still it does not help completely. now I am able to open the files but I only see the Title files for some MB and main movie for only 300 mb. its a complete 7.85 gb movie and I see can see that under the folder propertes.

Picture 1 is the files which showes the files in the decrypter folder

To use DVD_Decrypter and DVD_Shrink, these programs need a little help. That's where RipIt4Me comes in. You will also need to download and install FixVTS. After FixVTS is installed, proceed to install RipIt4Me. You will then be able to backup any movie. To download, see my signature.

seeing as you are already used to using decrypter-shrink-Nero
all you need is AnyDVD running in the background and rip/burn the same as you have for the last 6-8mths
it cost's but they give a trial period (worth every penny)

as "dialysis1" has said the 3 you use does need that little bit of help for the newer releases which AnyDVD does
