Fast and easy DVD to MPEG2 ?

I currently use various pieces of software to rip DVDs but none of them are exactly what i want and I thought id post a question here to see if anyone knows of an alternate piece of software.

What i want to do is with one piece of software choose the main movie only on a DVD and rip it to an mpg file (mpeg 2). I dont want any transcoding or anything so that its fast (ie as fast as dvd decryter or DVD Shrink - that is under 20 mins.)

This should give me a 4 or 5 gig file (or maybe bigger) that i can imidiately watch on my xbox360 (using it as a media center extender) and then later I can burn it back to dvd or convert it to WMV for storage on Hard disc.

The reason its got to be easy (about as easy as dvshrink would be fine) is that i want my wife or kids to be able to do it when im away from home.

Winavi will do that. ConvertXtoDVD might also but I'm not fond of that product, though it's also well-regarded by some.

-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.
