Minna no Tennis - a strange loading problem

A strange thing that happens to me.

I got the imported japanese game.
I loaded it using my PAL PS2 (big one) modded with Matrix Infinity Chip.
Everything was right.

Tonight I took the game to my friend's.
He has a PAL SLIM PS2.
The games loads, Sony Splash Screen, Clap Hanz Screen and then when it loads the main screen it freezes flickering on the PRESS START BUTTON menu.

You have to turn the SLIM PS2 off. Trying again the probelm is the same. It works perfeclty on my mooded PS2 (infinity) but it freezes on the SLIM PS2 (infinity).

Any clue?
