ive installed dev v0.46 with the installer but wenever i go to load a iso or emulate v2.71 it jus shuts my psp down n does nothing n i cnt play my v2.71 games

I would try a different ISO file the one you have could be a bad rip. I would first change UMD SELECT to UMD DISC and not have a UMD in to see if it will boot the firmware. If it doesnt boot that way then I would format the memstick and reinstall devhook.

devhook is the best option. I would try formatting your memstick and reinstalling it. Devhook is most definetly the way to go when trying to play newer firmware requiring games.
