Missing files with DVD recording

Hi

I have a LG RH7800 DVD recorder and when I dubbed a recording from the HDD to a DVD I could not use the recorded DVD on my computer. DVD programs require files like VOB or IFO bit there are none. I checked the recording back on the DVD player and it played OK. I just can't find a way to use the recording on my PC.

Does anybody know what to do?

Do you have a program to play DVD's like Power DVD?

I got the program from my colleague at work. The problem is that the program still won't read my DVD - the message comes back that there is no DVD in the drive??

I will try to re-burn a new DVD and see what happens.

Won't work, I keep on getting the message that there is no DVD in the drive. I use Verbatims DVD-R discs, if that makes any difference.
