I have been using DVD Shrink to burn DVD's for sometime now. The disks that I have been using are Sony DVD-R accucore, and have never had any problems with them. But recently The dvds that I have burned have started doing some strange things. I have tested them on several devices and this is what I have come up with:

They play on:
three different home DVD player (one is a panasonic)
My Alienware laptop
They don't play on:
my two other computers (custom built)
my uncles computer (custom built)
a toshiba laptop
a dell laptop
xbox 360
The ones that don't read it dont get any errors they just pretend that nothing is in the drive. They say that there is no disk in the drive. Sometimes it will show a disk that is in the drive that is completly empty. I have no idea what the problem is. It is really annoying because I only have my two computers here (at college) and I can't watch anything. Thanks.

Do any of those computers give you messages like "cannot write to disk please insert blank disc"?

no they are all written too already. and I never get any error messages when burning. The DVDs turn up blank even on the computer that burned them. I never get any error messages. Just nothing happens.

wow, i'm really not sure where to begin on that...sounds to me almost like the drives could be dying, but on all three computers at once? not sure. i'll ponder this one and get back to you. most likely, i suppose, it would be a software conflict somewhere.

one of the computers is only like 3 weeks old. And the DVDs didnt work from the beginning. And it isnt like a cheapy computer that is just going to break. I think it has to be a conflict but I just don't know what all of the computers have on them that my laptop doesnt. The only thing that I could think of is Nero. But I got rid of it on here and it still doesnt work.
