I can't get Nero to open

I have version 7.2.7, but I can't get it to open. It doesn't matter if I click the desktop icon or the quicklaunch icon. It shows up in my task manager taking up 50% of my CPU, and if I click it again there will be two identical NeroStartSmart.exe's each using 50%.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Can't say that I've had this problem but here's a suggestion - try a new install.
Write down your serial # - uninstall Nero - run the clean tool - reboot.
Run a registry cleaner - here's a good free one if you need one: http://ccleaner.com
Then reinstall Nero. I would re download a new one install.

luke2007 - if I may intrude on your post, a question for binkie7 if I may.

When un-installing Nero 7 - do you just run the Nero 7 clean tool.?
Or do you run the Add/Remove program first and then the clean tool ?

Uninstall Nero 1st thru add/remove programs then run the clean tool.
Then I'd reboot and run a registry cleaner - if you need one a link in my post above.

I had a chance yesterday to burn an .AVI to DVD with 7.2.7.0 for the first time and had issues as many have.
If you are going to do a clean install I would recommend instaling a stable version 7.0.8.2 - or as of today they released another version 7.5.1.1 - may want to give it a try.
Hope your problem is easily solved shortly.
