I'm new to the big-picture of torrent using, so for now I just seed/leech television shows off mainstream sites such as mininova and old school suprnova. I'm looking to get into bigger things in torrents and would like suggestions on what sites are worth keeping an eye on as far as privacy goes. I don't want any letters in the mail from my ISP asking my downloads like friends of mine.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

First off, you titles the thread "Private Torrent Invites", you are aware you are not allowed to ask for them here right?

Anyways, Bitsoup.org is a great private tracker, its currently open for free registration too, demonoid, torrentleech, wild bytes, etc etc are all worth a shot :-)

If you do not want any letters from your ISP..or worse, read here:

I was in the process of reading that exact post as you were typing that. Also, I do understand I am not allowed to ask for invites and such, notice the editing of my post before anyone could read it (hopefully, heh).

Are such private sites such as bitsoup.org, pisexy, supertorrents and things of that nature not 100% safe? If not, how do they differ from public sites such as mininova/suprnova? Are private sites just more for speed rather than saftey?

Thanks again.

Why cant private sites remain private?
The more they are posted on public forums,
They just aren't private anymore are they?

@ RAV009

Nice job on your guide.
Im sure a lot of people could use the information.
Cheers!

Private sites are a degree safer due to the fact that there torrents are under the 'Private flag'. They're locked to the IP of the user who has registered at that particular tracker and can be downloaded/uploaded by them and only them. Meaning that you are not prone to Anti File sharing bots stealing your IP.

At public trackers on the other hand anyone can download and upload torrents. There could be RIAA/MPAA bots in the swarm. When they up/dl from you they catch your IP moving data...*BANG*....your sued.

Also, since Private trackers use the ratio system their torrents seem are a lot faster; due to the fact that the users need to keep a good ratio of download:upload.

We upload to share the file with others. In private communities they do not look to distribute the file high and low, they look to provide quality torrents, safer and more efficiently.

Therefore, Private trackers are better because:

*Faster
*Safer(a degree safer, but not perfect!)
*Better communities (more up loaders, less "hit-and-runners")
*Huge selection

@Jizmak,

Thanks buddy

One thing i felt like adding, is that most private torrent sites always have the most recent company IP blocklists, so that IF someone like the RIAA/MPAA or one of their subsidiary's where to attain an invite, they would be instantly banned upon signup.
