Right, Iv'e just downloaded Azureus, and obviously just getting used to anything, just wondered if someone could run me through how I should have my configurations? Also, I think that I have configured it properly but how can I check 1. If my SafePeer plugin is working 2. If all my Uploading and Downloading connections are secured and encrypted with R4 Encryption like it says in Azureus client??? Can anyone giev me a few pointers possibly

Upstream set to 80% of max, downstream set to unlimited. 3 simultaneous downloads. Approx 200 global connections, assuming you're not using SP2 or that if you are you've applied the lvllord patch (google it).
That'll get you started.
1. Safepeer is working if at the bottom of Azureus you see where it says "IP's" or something like that, there shuold be a number there that doesn't fit in the box--those are blocked IP's. Also, in the options menu, under "IP Filters", there should be a thing that says "xxxxx IP's blocked, this is 72.9% of the internet" or something similar. It takes a WHILE for Azureus to update this list---so I recommend leaving your client on for about 10 mins before you start to dl.
2. If encryption in ON and the recursive rules are all CHECKED, then you're encrypted...but it's only the headers, don't get cocky.
Kk, thanks TomMelle, brilliant help :D, TY Loads, but Iv'e also found out now that my safeper patch isn't working, how can I get it to work, I have PG2, is there anyway I can get safepeer to read Peerguardians blocklists maybe??? Also what are the recursive rules please? Many thanks
if you peer into the guts of azureus' settings, there is a field for "global connections"...set it to 200. That's the total number of people you can connect to all together, sum total downloading and uploading.
recursive rules are the checkboxes beneath where you choose rc4 encryption...check all the boxes. They allow you to download from people who DON'T have encryption on, but make it so that you only UPLOAD to people WITH it on.
And in the plugin settings for safepeer you can specify a different location for a blocklist, I wouldn't recommend it though. It will work, just give it time. Mine wasn't showing the other day, left Azureus running w/o any torrents, and came back and it was on.
I usually use pg2 and safepeer though, just in case one or the other is caching out or something.
No matter what I do, my I.P Block List won't budge from 0 :( I've left is on for hours on end, but nothing, not even a sign of an update? Also what's the Periodic Update Timer on the Peersafe settings and should it be 6:00:00??? Any advice much appriciated???
