i use demonoid exclusively, and i want to set up Azureus so i only download from the people at demonoid. I searched the forums alittle and couldnt really find anything. The connection page has info on like peer sources and networks, and i was wondering if i only want people from demonoid which should be on and which should be off. i currently have everything off on that page and dht, except for peers from the tracker. but my downloads are going ALOT slower, but could this be from running safepeer and peerguardian 2?
you SHOULD be only connecting to people on demonoid.
Same w/ any private tracker, by default you're only connected to other people who use that tracker, IF DHT is turned off.
Although demonoid might allow outside connections, I'm not sure...I forget. If they do, the only possible way would be to exclude EVERY OTHER IP IN THE WORLD besides demonoid members, and they're not gonna share the IP's.

no private trackers are generally faster because they have dedicated seedboxs' and great uploaders with ungodly bandwidth. just because a site is private does not mean it will be faster. IMO demonoid is slow because no uploader wants to pay for server axx and have it go to waste on a bunch of kiddys who don't know or appriciate what they do so they don't seed on demonoid... I wouldn't.. demonoid is great because they have a huge selection but bad because they have a huge selection if you follow.
