i have a japanese psp. it is brand new, i bricked it.
i want to buy a new psp from argos, can i buy it, carefully open it and put my new jap psp in it. pack it, without opening the extras so it looks unopened and refund it sayin i bought wrong console, i needed a nitendo DS and my brother already bought it today.
they wont check the psp will they? because it has no battery, all the new batteries come flat. and i never expect them to check?
my psp is 1004 model. i dont know wot the news ones are, can i claim to sony otherwise? say while upgrading it got bricked? (even though i was downgrading to 1.5 from 2.5)
will sony replace a jap psp?
thanks alot for replies, plz reply asap

Sounds like a good plan. Oh yeah and don't use the word bricked or they will know you know about homebrew. Bricked is a term hackers and homebrewers use

Yeah u can repackage the best you can, I did the same thing and had the box flawless, and the old bag at the counter opened up the psp box (I about shit my pants) And looked over the psp checked the serial numbers to see if they matched the box, they did of course cuz I switched them. If u do it, Be careful!

yeah it sounds like u have thought it through and it would (in theory) work but if they do notice im guessing it could result in legal action cos thats probably counted as fraud of some sort lol

why dont you ring sony and ask them to replace the psp with a reconditioned one it normally is a 2.6 firmware or a 2.7. i tried this with my bricked psp and it worked, but make sure you dont say it is bricked say you accidentally took out the plug when upgrading to another firmware
good luck and post us with the info about what happend
