I just recently purchased swapmagic and a flip top for my ps2. I am concerned with a few things. anyones help would be nice
1. The swap magic disc has alot of defined rings on it. I have never seen this many ring on a dat ov dvd disc. Is the disc supposed to be like this?
2. my ps2 is making alot of noises now when it reads the disc. I am not sure if this is because of all the data rings on the disc or because of issue 3
3. I bought the pkge from saveware.com the flip top fits but the screw under the eject and reste buttons will not screw in it just drops in as if there are no threads to screw into. Is this normal or do I have a faulty case.

I am wanting to get another flip-top for the ps2 that my son uses. Any suggestions on a reliable site to order from?

also forgot to mention that I am having alot of trouble with the swap magic disc booting up. takes 10-15 tries to get to the swapmagic load screen.

okay, yes there are alot of rings on swap magic disc...

what version ps2 you have the fliptop is tricky to install without any instruction took me a few tries... but try to find the instructions... you dont want to break your case trying to get it together...

you might have a bad laser or bad batch of disc.. depends if its the 3.6 one.. so it will make alot of noise... either clean the lens, i used alcohol and q-tip.. or buy new disc.. (i would try cleaning lens)

also to be 100% sure its not the disc.. try them on another ps2 console...

is where I bought my flip top... Now that you can boot Backups I would go buy a HD and Network adaptor and use HDLOADER to load games on your PS2 and your Sons PS2 .. No Wear & Tear on the laser that way..
