can someone explain this error or how to fix it.I have been searching through the forum.but cant find the same error.I dont want to bore you with boring details(unless needed)so here goes the error message I dont understand

Ok let's update your Nero and see if it can transcode this AVI. There have been a few fixes since the version you are using.
Choice here - 7.0.8.2 or the latest version 7.5.1.1 - just out a couple of days so 'unknown' on how Vision will be - I've only used it 1x so far in this version.

hello blinkie,
Thanks for all your help.I am just not sure if I want to install a new Nero pack on my computer.This would mean I would have to use clean tool,uninstall current Nero,etc.Then I dont even know if the new one would even work(transcode)better.So then I would have to reinstall the old one. because when i first got Nero in 2003 and was fine until the beginning of 2006.When my system crashed.(then my Nero cd would not reinstall) I then called Nero and explained this so they sent me zip of a new Nero.But since then I have been upgading every two months it seems.Or is this just an update.
I am really only having problems with this 1 AVI out of about 14.I can normaly can figure these things out thanks to this forum.

To update or not that's your choice. Since you would be updating you can just install over the version you have - usually not an issue.

Nero's updates just like most software comp's updates also contain fixes for known bugs so updating can be a good thing. It may do the trick on this AVI. Nero has a version hisroty listed on their that gives the different fixes & enhancements if you ever want to check it out.

Since Nero is just having problems with this 1 AVI then try another program that has a free trial like ConvertXDVD (leaves watermark) or WinAVI. If the trial don't have burning w/ them you can use Nero burning rom or express to burn
