Can I play US games on my PSP?

Im not so bothered about playing copies even though i do play them. Just i`d like to purchase them from the US and ship them over on the occasional game that i might want NOW rather then later. As the UK is a bit slow..

i don`t know what region it is, thats if this matters?

PSP games are region free(so all will play on your PSP)
PSP movies are region specific
PSP music are region specific

no that doesnt work. the motherboards have the region hardcoded into them.

i have a jap 1.50 and a uk 1.50 and i use the same devhook and the jap version has a portable tv app built into the fw where the uk one hasen't

flightx, if that were true, everyone who downgraded from 2.0 to 1.5 would have that app, since it was done using the Jap 1.5 eboot update.

so unless you provide proof...

you said it was on fw 1.5 and now u say it's on 2.71?

which firmware is it on? is it emulated firmware?

its a jap psp with fw 1.50 which i installed devhook onto i load up fw 2.71 and i have porable tv dont know anything about it but its still there

it's only there when i load devhook up and i used the newest installer to put devhook on (usb version) so it has to be something to do with it being a jap version because as i say i have a uk psp which doesn't have it
