I'm planning on purchasing a new computer, probably a barebone PC from TigerDirect: Asus A8N SLI Deluxe Socket 939 Barebone Kit / AMD Athlon 3200+ OEM / 160GB HDD / 16x DL DVD±RW / 512MB DDR PC3200 / CPU Fan / ATX Mid-Tower Case / 500 Watt Power Supply (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2285370&Sku=A455-2112%20I)
But I don't know what is the best video card I should get for under $200 USD. I plan on doing quite a bit of gaming.
Any advice, on the system and especially on a video card would be much appreciated.
if you want to play games get 1gig of ram aswel
will an ati card work on a sli board?
if its a nvidia chip set wont you be better getting a 7900gs or somthing like that so you could run 2 in sli later when you can afford a second card?

neither have i, but the albatron one is the only 7900gs in the review that is not overclocked, all the other 7900gs' compared are factory overclocked (including the leadtek), whereas the X1900GT is not. it's unfair to compare 2 different graphics cards if one of them is overclocked and the other isn't, not to mention that all the factory overclocked ones cost more than $200, so the only 7900gs' you can get for less than $200 have no factory overclocks, so it will perform the same as the albatron, which looses out to the X1900gt in all 3 tests.
