Umds wont load

Im having a problem with My umds. When i put a umd in my psp it dosnt load up the little umd disc sign you click on to start the game up under the game section. it just has that little white circle in the bottom right of the psp sayin its loadin but its not.
Also When i Do a Hard Reboot and have a umd in my psp and then switch my psp on it just switches on with a background and no icons!!! I then have to take the umd out and the icons load up.
Strange coz i never had this problem before and i want to play my psp!!!!
Can any one help please

Did you recently downgrade? I'm thinking you got a bad version of the downgrader (maybe). If the problem persists, I would suggest upgrading and then downgrading all over again. Except, if you're already at 1.50, just upgrade to 2.00 and use the MPH downgrader. That, I know, works for sure b/c I've used it fifty times.

yeah i did recently downgrade but ive been using my umds for a while and they were workin perfectly should i still try and do u know any one else who had this problem?

but my umds wont load in both 1.5 and 2.71(when i use devhook)

doesn't sound like any software/program prob, sounds like a hardware prob, like, you're disck reading laser is cracked or somehting, especially if you said it doesn't even load in devhook

u can get it on ebay i think furst u shud consult a mechanic and is the sound of the umd buffer cracking and is it irritating if yes u have the prob with ur umd try ne other umd

Well ive tried all my umds and its the same for all of them but if i listen carefully to the back of my psp then i can hear a strange noise from the inside.

ok so u have broken up ur umd drive get it fixed economical if u get high pocket money buy a new one

Does that mean its definatly the umd laser and if i upgrade to 2.00 then downgrade back could that make it work?

Has anyone got any advice is there a program that lets me play isos without a disc in my psp so that i would still be able to play games?
