With only the required necessities: a computer, Playstation Portable, skills, and a large brain; Dark_AleX has managed to figure out a way in launching homebrew via the 2.71 user interface (the XMB). To be more precise, I?ll just quote the included README.TXT:

This program enables homebrew to be run in 2.71 through the XMB. It makes a patch that remains permanent until hardware reset. Sleep mode won?t remove the patch.

Note: this program writes some small files in the flash, ONLY the first time is executed. IT does NOT rewrite any existing file in the system, it writes new files, so the probabilities of bricking are practically null.

Currently standard ?EBOOT? homebrew is not supported because they?re compiled in static ELF format. Homebrew for 2.71 will need to be PRX formatted. All the technical knitty-gritty details for programmers, as well as instructions on setup/installation/usage, are detailed in README.TXT.

Samples are provided in the ?GAME? directory. And as for the future ? static ELF support may be possible.
