Hey everyone!
Ok straight to the point, I've got a Modbo (matrix v1.54 on my V12 PS2. I was expecting it to be a matrix infinity but the installer done one over me. Ah well. Anyway, none of the backups I make on my PC work on the modded PS2. They all work on my mates modded PS2. Its a Verbatim disc, on which I copy ISO's using imgburn at 4x. The chip was done in another country (where they also sell backups) well over there those backups ran fine, all of them actually. But some backups my mate makes for himself doesn't work on mine either but they do on his. Its strange, but I have a feeling that booksettings may have to be set so that it can work. Aren't Modbo supposed to run ANY game?? I may have to get a brand new dvd recorder now since this Pioneer 108bk doesn't support booksetting at all. Would there be any way to resolve this? P.S. I checked one of the backups my mate made on DVD identifier and it says its a DVD-R on DVD-R booksetting, thats why I assumed only DVD-rom would work on mine. The PS2 either freezes at startup or just stops spinning the disc. Really odd

uh oh, after reading a few threads, it seems that by changing the settings ruins the chip. I actually did change the setting to make it speed up! But some backups (which I don't know whether they are bookmarked or not) still work. Only the ones I backup using the computer don't work (but work for my mate).
