Network Update Issue

Hi guys
I have tried reading the manual but it doesnt say anything,
After i do a software update through "Network Update" and the software is installed and done with, can i delete (or format) the contents that i downloaded for the update, or do they have to remain on the disk? please only answer if you are 100% since its a critical question

u can delete the eboot file just go into game, and delete the UPDATE eboot file
p.s wat fw did u update

i know its sounds funny (everyone is trying to downgrade and im upgrading) but i dont intend to use homebrew or stuff like that
I think my version is 2.1 and it just said that it needed update and i pressed it.
Could you please explain in plain english what you mean about that eboot (since im new). Are their files (from the update) that shouldnt be deleted? What happens when i change the Card? Will it crash? Can i not format it now?

1.plug your ac adapter in
2.when the psp say's UPDATE click yes
3.let it load do not pull the ac adapter out or u might damage your psp
4.then wen it's finished it should say"do u want to run the update" click yes
5.let it load remembering not to pull the charger out.
6.then it should be done then go to "GAME" and u should see a file called "2.xx firmwire update" clik triangle and then click delete and your done.

i know this is asking too much but i was going to make a thread tomorrow.
I am just wondering how i can convert a dvd (with subtitles) to the PSP format (without loosing quality) and tranfer it to my psp(memory card) . I know there are some topics about this but i cant find where i can make these with subtitles.. Any tutorial available? I know i will have to get a 1GB MS Duo but im just wondering how to do the whole procedure

use pspvideo9 or my favourite imtoo psp video convertor google the softwaere or go on http://qj.net if it's a big movie around 600mb pspvideo9 converts and shrinks it to about 520-600mb but with imtoo u can convert for best quality and it will increse to about 620mb or convert and pick normal and shrink to abou 400-550mb tops.
