DVD-R life expectancy ?

Hi people,

Just wondering if there is a "lifetime" specified for DVD-R's as I have been moving a lot of stuff from CDR to DVD-R as a way of archiving my movies, MP3s etc.

If you take good care of them there is no reason why they can't last a long long time.
