how to change .exe to .rar?

yeah i have a psp game.. but its in .exe.. and the place were i got it says to change it from .exe to .rar... and i have no idea how to do that... so any help with by awsome.. thanx

yeah i dled it and it had instructions with it saying change it from .exe to .rar... but it didnt say how...lol.. do u have ne idea how u would do that?

if its the same as any file then use WinRAR it makes any file an archive in .rar file

adjust your settings to show the actual file extension becuase sometimes files can be like Daxter.iso.cso. Then just rename it to a rar extension

well its nhl 07, and when i archive it.. all it does is put the .exe inside of a .rar... lol witch doesnt do anygood.. and i cant rename it.. or at least i dont think i can.. maybe im doing it wrong... all u have to do is add a .rar after the name?.. lol

your windows might not be set to display file extentions, to change this...

in any explorer window, go to tools>folder options>view

in the advanced settings box, untick the box which has 'hide extentions for known file types'

if its already unticked or your on a different operating system than xp, i cannot help yah, lol

if u follow this and are on xp, change the extention to rar, see if that solves your issue.

the file should be named "gamename.exe" change it to read "gamename.rar". Then u can try and see if you can uncompress it.
