TA082 OWNERS !!! TA082 has been finally hacked !! devhook for 2.71 released on Sep 24 2006 now enables me to play isos umds on my TA082
Yes i can confirm that. I am now running iso on my TA082!!!
What you require is new devhook for version 2.71 , dont panic like me if ur version is 2.5 or 2.6 upgrade it ( yes you heard it right!) upgrade to version 2.71 get that firmware from somewhere. And than install devhook and hombrew enabler or HENB as it is called.
For newbies Henb is a TIFF exploit. When u open that image
it will restart the psp than runn devhook it will take u to the menu choose iso (no UMD should be ther in slot during whole process)when u start press and hold home button and press Lor R and voila new devhook menu emulator is shown and insert ANY UMD and play!!!
Hello guys , I am sure all the TA082 owners who had a heart break after being too excited about buying a new psp , and later finding that it was almost not possible to play homebrew or iso or umd emulators.
I just read in dcemu site that Devhook Launcher Port to 2.71 by dark alex emulates version 1.5 (with kernel mode)
SO THE BIG QUESTION
Theoratically it means that i can play iso game image files through devhook on my psp with TA082 motherboard ? has any body tried. If it is than i will upgrade my 2.5 firmware to 2.7 . I hope this works

Have yuo checked the devhook released today ? Devhook Launcher Port to 2.71 - (Run V1.5 Homebrew on PSP 2.71)

Chipper2, don't bother posting here anymore. You're uninformed and behind the times.
Yes, 2.71 can now run ISOs, and it doesn't matter if you have a TA-082 mobo or not.

Thanks superstar fanghi i am sure you guys are much more informed than me . So ill install devhook on my TA082 tommorow. Lets hope it does not brick . And by that time i am sure some more enthusiastic ta082 users must have tested and updated the forums. If this works guys dark_alex is granddaddy of all the people in sony corporation who have made it a pain in the ass for TA082 users. And i would like to donate or rather payback some repect in his paypal account anyone has that

Thanks chipper you are not totally a newbie like me . Ok so i guess u have ta082 so do let me know when you get devhook working ill wait for a day to install it.
Also any info or tutorial on how to upgrade my Fw to 2.71 and than how can i install devhook?

to update
..........
connect your psp to the computer
and go in the folder called GAME
make a folder called update
and put the eboot inside there...
so now you have a folder called update
on the psp
NOW
....
unplug the cable and go to game on
the psp and run the update....
YOU ARE NOW UPDATING

I won't be able to downgrade because I have ta-082 motherboard. If I didn't I would have downgrading from 2.6 a long time ago.

upgrade to 2.71, there is now a homebrew enabler for 2.71 that emulates 1.5, then you use regular devhook to emulate 2.71 to take advantage of iso's. it's a bit of a work up to do it, but not really if u consider now you can play iso on a TA-082 Mobo...
it's that or try to find another PSP w/ the TA-081 Mobo.
