nero 7 ultra skippy audio problem

I have Nero 7.0.1.2 Ultra. Its great burning software but
when i try to burn an audio cd from files of my HDD the music skips
really bad. Even when i preview the audio before burning it skips like krazy. The audio plays perfect in all media players and my mp3 players.
I have burned them before using other versions of Nero too. Could it be a bad mp3 decoder? Has anyone else had this problem?

Yep had the same problem. Nero 7.2.3.2b and 7.5.1.1 finally fixed the problem for me.
You can update to the latest 7.5.1.1 - should do the trick for you.

@binkie7, Hi Karen, boy am I confused, I thought 7.2.7.0 was the latest release and now I see logs with 7.5.1.1...whats going on...which do you prefer...and is it better (more stable) than 7.0.8.2. Cheers.

Heya Gwen,
I've been using and abusing 7.5.1.1 for a while now and I can't find any bugs, I'm blaming you and your flit gun for that you scared them all away. I've actually been impressed by the folks at Nero finally getting it right and won't be running back to 6.0 for a while.

7.5.1.1 is the latest. No problems so far for me.
7.2.7.0 only used for like 2 -3 (?) weeks than they released 7.5.1.1.
But 7.2.7.0 didn't have the audio mp3 problem for me either.
I take that back about 7.2.3.2b the only problem I did have w/ it was the mp3 audio conversion- it was 7.2.7.0 & 7.5.1.1 that it works for me (txs for reminding of this version Gwen!) Nero claimed to have fixed it in the version history for this version.
7.0.8.2 had the mp3 audio problem from me + plus liked to crash when picking 3 or more copies so I'm sticking with the later versions. So far so good.

Oh I'm sure Nero left some bugs somewhere - why makes things easier for the end user :0)
So far so good with what I'm using it for. Have done quite a bit of dvd burning w/ recode, rom and express. Vision only 1 AVI to dvd, 1 AVI to VCD and a PAL to NTSC conversion. So not alot in Vision. Used all the animated funtions for the menus and buttons - no problems there.
Be daring and get it a go :)

I changed over to 7.5.1.1. over the weekend. I ran into a couple of minor problems. One, I was checking out burning a Jukebox CD and added my list as usual... seemed to work loading them so I exited the program. Nero Start Smart icon "exited" my taskbar also and didn't bring up the UI as usual and the Desktop icon failed to function when I tried to bring up the main Nero screen. Would not start Nero at all..... rebooted and worked again. The second problem is under the tools menu in Wave Editor. When I launch the Equalizer, it fills the workspace almost. I can't see all the function buttons and I have to hit escape on the keyboard to get out of it. All other apps in the tool menu work except the equalizer.....one of the few tools I probably would use. Still a little flakey. Perhaps the dust in the flit sprayer needs to be mixed a little stronger!

Ok I have updated to the 7.5.1.1 version of Nero to try and correct the problem I was having with skipping when converting my MP3's to an audio format and now I can't burn an audio CD at all without getting an "burn process failed" error. Any suggestions? I have an Optiarc ND-3570A burner, and reading from this forum they work well with Nero....LOL

Post your last Nero log and let's have a peek and see what might be going on.
Just be sure to edit out your serial # - usually begin w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.
