i have rogers lite internet and my download speed used to be about 128 kbps when i download through the browser but lately its only been going up to about 40 kbps since i installed norton but even when i close norton it stil doesnt go back up. if i cant fix this im considering reformatting my computer. I wonder of anyone else is experiencing the slow down?

I once used McAfee; then it got to be nothing but problems.

Then I used Norton and it got to be nothing but problems.

Now, I use AVG Free (Grisoft) and it is great.

BEFORE you reformat your HD, try to solve your problem(s). Just look at some of the posts around here. It seems to me everyone wants to reformat their HD as a quick fix. Wrong. Then it never runs right again. I would stongly recommend against the reformat!
