I have always been told that you have to have some sort of mode chip to play BACKED UP PS2 games? Is this true? If not could someone tutor me in the process!! Thanks alot!!

Might of helped if you'd read some of the sticky topics & done a forum search first. Then you wouldn't of asked this question!

You need either a modchip, or Swap Magic boot discs (with fliptop case or magic keys - depending on your version of PS2) to be able to play backup & import games.

1)Make sure you have a modchip or boot cd/dvd
2)Download dvd decryptor
3)Go mode>iso>read
4)Wait for the image to copy
5)Then get a quality DVD-R like ritek or verbatim
6)Insert dvd then select mode>iso>write
7)Select 4x burning speed no more or less but make sure your discs are 8x as its always best to burn half of your discs max speed
8)Take dvd out and you have a burnt game


Requirments:
Swap magic and A tool
Or A modchip
A DVD burner
A pc that has a cpu over 800mhz pentium 3 and equvilent or more then 256mb ram and 6gb free space on hd

If your pc dosent meet that it will burn and finnish but it will always drop speeds etc if you select 4x it will go form 1.8x to 4x backwards and forwards and when you run the game the ps2 will lag
