limewire continuously opens itself, can i stop it?

limewire will open itself if it isnt already running..
it will also close itself and re-open itself if i leave it on disconnected, causing severe lag, and sometimes even computer shutdown...
can anyone help me figure out how to keep it closed unless i open it?

I think one point when I had limewire it would just keep opening it self and yeah, it got very annoying and it was impossible to use my computer no less. I just use Morpheus now, not sure if that would work for you. I never bothered to figure out how to fix that limewire problem so can't help you there.

Yes I had a virus ages ago that kept re-opening Limewire, got very annoying, then used AVG to get rid of it.

hey, thanks a ton i got limewire to die, which i like.
i appreciate all the help, and linkage :P
i had 44 viruses on my comp, detected by AVG
now im running it again and already it has discovered more than that, if you can figure that out. :)

a little tip

if you have had 44 viruses on your comp, then i am gussing you must also have tons of spyware

get Spybot Search And Destroy to get rid of them oh and for a safer p2p solution get bittorrent, just a suggestion as i dont like limewire.
