hey guys,
I've been downloading torrents for a while but never anything over 4GB. I've struck a problem now that says to save to an ntfs drive as the file is over 4GB. I unfortunately have no idea what it is talking about. Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Thanks Prouty

Hi,

I'll assume your using XP, if not tell us.

Your running FAT32 file system, its limited to handling 4GB of data, if you convert to NTFS you will experience no limits in file size compatabilty, the only limit to the size of the files stored on your computer will be the size of your harddrive.

Heres a good guide on Converting from FAt32 > NTFS:

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately I am receiving the following message when I enter the convert command in the command prompt.
'is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file'.
This also happens with help convert etc.
Does anyone have any solutions to such a problem.

Thanks Prouty

Windows XP Home, 2002 with Service Pack 2. Windows Help has a similar article to the link you gave me but no luck I'm afraid.
